Youth Emergency Shelter

reStart offers the only emergency youth shelter in the urban core of Kansas City, Missouri. We provide you with a safe haven, a warm bed, and three meals a day for youths ages 12-17. While you stay at the youth emergency shelter, reStart takes on guardianship and provides you with 24/7 supervision and guidance.

Youth Street Outreach

We offer a Youth Street Outreach program, which provides outreach in both the Jackson and Johnson County areas to youth (12-24 years old) experiencing homelessness. Outreach teams reach out if you are sleeping in encampments, vacant buildings, in your car, or under bridges, if you are fleeing violence, and/or experiencing unstable housing to provide street-based case management services and referrals.

Older Youth Program

We offer an Older Youth Program for single individuals between the ages of 18 to 19 years old. This program provides you with interim housing, three meals a day, case management, and other wrap-around services.
