reStart received a $4,800 2014 Catalyst grant from the 2014 ArtsKC Fund. The Arts at reStart project will serve at least 250 homeless youth and children. Project activities will introduce homeless children and youth to Kansas City’s professional arts community, improve access to professional arts experiences for an under-served population and encourage positive self-expression and build self-esteem in children and youth traumatized by homelessness. ArtsKC support will provide opportunities for homeless youth and children to engage in multi-disciplinary arts experiences, participate in hands-on projects for artistic creation, and conduct public presentations of their work.
