HELP KANSAS CITY REACH

Functional Zero Veteran Homelessness

Zero KC logo In December of 2014, First Lady Michelle Obama challenged mayors across the United States to end veteran homelessness by achieving functional zero. In Jackson and Wyandotte Counties, there are only 33 chronically homeless veterans who still need to be housed in order for the community to reach functional zero by the end of the year.

Kansas City, Missouri, Mayor Sly James, Kansas City, Kansas, Mayor Mark Holland, Independence Mayor Eileen Weir, the 30+ agencies part of the local Zero: 2016 campaign and The Greater Kansas City Coalition to End Homelessness are asking for YOUR help to be among the first 40 cities in the United States to achieve functional zero among its homeless veteran population.
